Hi all,
Happy Monday! Hope your Monday is great and productive! Today am sharing my review on the shampoo that I have using recently – Puresense Macadamia one. I got this on recommendation from Sonali of Skincarevilla. Now I have emptied it completely, its time to share my thoughts on it. Puresense is a new luxury brand in the market. They have two ranges – Relaxing Macadamia (for nut lovers) and Rejuvenating Grapefruit (for fruit lovers). Very few products in the market have Macadamia nut. Puresense has both skincare and haircare products containing macadamia nut oil. And their Grapefruit range has fruit stem cell technology. I will share more details about this when I review their face cleansing gel next. Now let’s see how Puresense Macadamia Relaxing Deep Nourishing Hair Cleanser performs.
Product claims
I come bearing the wholesome goodness of macadamia oil sourced from Australia. Organic, cold-pressed and unprocessed, the calming aroma and lush properties of macadamia nuts relax your mind and soothe your senses. Free from sulphates, parabens, formaldehyde and mineral oil, my vitamin nutrients nourish and protect while my Fresh CellsTM breathe new life into your hair.

Puresense Macadamia Relaxing Deep Nourishing Hair Cleanser comes in a white opaque glass bottle with a wooden cork and pump. The bottle is really heavy as its glass. So don’t even think of carrying it. But its nice and super luxurious to be used in your home. I wish the brand launches a travel kit soon as all their products – shampoos, conditioners, face cleansers, shower gels, body oil and mists – are too heavy to be carried while traveling.
Puresense Macadamia Relaxing Deep Nourishing Hair Cleanser looks white in color and has a creamy texture which is neither too runny nor too thick. The fragrance is high end spa-like and amazing. Its very different actually. Smells slightly nutty and on the warm side. Will be excellent for winters. The fragrance is not strong and won’t linger on your hair after wash.
Puresense Macadamia Relaxing Deep Nourishing Hair Cleanser lathers well with just little quantity. It gives a nice creamy and soft lather. It cleanses scalp in first wash itself, even if you have oiled your hair madly. It also conditions hair well, so after drying your hair feels soft, nourished, smooth and tangle-free. All without a conditioner! If you have normal hair, you won’t need a conditioner with this shampoo. But since I have like super dry hair, after one day, my hair becomes frizzy if I don’t use a conditioner. So I do follow up with a conditioner every time.
Puresense Macadamia Relaxing Deep Nourishing Hair Cleanser doesn’t aggravate hairfall, nor does it control hairfall. It is simply a nice, nourishing shampoo for dry and frizzy hair. Will also work well for damaged or chemically-treated hair.
The price is bit expensive, but it lasted for a long time. Since its lathers well, only small quantity required each time. I have waist length hair and I need only 3 pumps. If you have shorter hair, you are going to require lesser. So I believe it is a good investment.
Puresense Macadamia Relaxing Deep Nourishing Hair Cleanser is free from sulphates, parabens, formaldehyde and mineral oil. But it does contain silicones. Which is the only con I find in the product. So I won’t be using this as my regular shampoo. I might repurchase sometime in winter and alternate with another shampoo.
Benefits of macadamia nut oil:
Macadamia nut oil has calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorous, sodium, and even copper. As for fatty acids, it contains high concentrations of palmitic, stearic, palmitoleic, oleic, and linoleic with palmitoleic and oleic acids. It totals a favorite oil for skin and hair because of its high fatty acid and nutrient composition.
Does it satisfy all its claims?
Yes, it satisfies all its claims.
What I like?
* Luxurious, heavy glass packaging.
* Spa-like fragrance, slightly nutty.
* Cleanses oiled hair in one wash itself.
* Nourishes and conditions hair.
* Contains organic, cold-pressed and unprocessed macadamia nut oil from Australia.
* Free from sulphates, parabens, formaldehyde and mineral oil.
* Cruelty-free.
Suggestions for improvement:
Puresense brand, please replace silicones with something else!
Would I recommend?
Yes, if you don’t mind silicones.
Would I repurchase?
Am only hesitating for the silicones. Might repurchase in winters and use at times, not regularly.
Value for money?
Its a luxury brand. So priced higher. But it lasts for a long time, so I feel its worth it.
