Review of SoulTree Indian Rose & Cooling Vetiver Shower Gel – SLS Free, Paraben Free, Made of Organic Ingredients

Hope your week is going well! For me, this is a relaxing week as I don’t have much pending work in office. Finished off most of my release items last week itself ????. So today I will be reviewing the shower gel that am currently using. SoulTree is one of my favorite brands. I have used their lip balm, body lotion and shampoo and liked all of them. SoulTree is one of the brands offering best quality products which are not too expensive. So now let’s see the review of SoulTree Indian Rose & Cooling Vetiver Shower Gel.

The packaging of all Soultree products are really good and this is no exception. Unlike other shower gels bottles which contain paper stickers around them which peel-off while wet in the shower, this one has labels that are waterproof. Also I feel their packaging adds a luxury touch to the product. But the only concern I had was, the pump didn’t work in the product I received. So I had to open and pour it out everytime.

SoulTree Indian Rose & Cooling Vetiver Shower Gel comes in a brownish gel form with a medium consistency. It is not a clear gel though. I can see some tiny crushed petals of rose in it. The texture and color remind me very much of Aroma Essentials Rose Face Wash. It has a soothing scent of roses, not too strong or artificial. For all those who hate the typical gulab smell, this is not like that at all. Very mild, natural and soothing. I can’t smell much of vetiver in it though.

SoulTree Indian Rose & Cooling Vetiver Shower Gel, true to its name, feels cool on the skin immediately on applying. I think its due to the rose and vetiver combination. It lathers moderately. If you use a loofah, you can get more lather. The lather is creamy foam and I thought it will be like those nourishing body washes which leave a thin layer on your skin for moisturization. But despite having a creamy foam, it washes off completely without any residue. Skin feels clean and fresh. It doesn’t dry out my skin excessively. Nor does it hydrate my skin. It just feels perfect. I follow up with a bath oil afterwards.

Since it contains rose, you can feel the toning and astringent effects too. Similar to how you feel when you apply pure rose water on your face. That assures the rose content in the shower gel is high and also pure, organic.

I like the fact that the shower gel contains not only natural but organic ingredients. Vetiver, rose, aloe vera, hibiscus, honey are all sourced from certified organic farms. And you can feel the purity and quality of the ingredients while you are using the shower gel. Coco glucoside and Lauryl glucoside are the cleansing, foaming agents which are very mild surfactants made from coconut oil, palm oil and sugar.

I can say this is one of the best shower gels I have ever used. The organic ingredients, the soothing scent, the cooling sensation, the gel consistency, the price – everything makes it the perfect shower gel for all seasons. Also its cruelty-free and free from parabens, SLS/SLES, silicones, mineral oil.
