For the first time am doing a blogger collaboration post on my blog. Yes guys! Am collaborating with popular Youtuber Sahijeeth. If you haven’t subscribed to her channel, you should do so now definitely. She posts videos on subscription boxes unboxing, beauty products reviews, snacks reviews, DIYs and makeup looks. Today both of us are going to share our current favorites with you 😊.
Current favorites in skincare and haircare
Since its peak of summers, most of the products are geared towards summer, oily, acne prone skin. Let’s see what my current favorites are:
Vichy Normaderm 3 in 1 Cleanser, Scrub, Mask:
This has become my holy grail product for summers. It is a 3-in-1 product and contains salicylic acid and glycolic acid. I use it as a cleanser during evening after returning from office. My acne and breakouts have reduced so much with this product. I have been reading about the benefits of Microdermabrasion, cause according to the American Acne Foundation it is one of the best ways to clean out outermost layer of dead and dry skin cells thus revealing the true glow hidden inside. If you have acne-prone skin, this is a must try product. Can be used by sensitive skin also as its not harsh unlike other acne products. Check out LA Beauty to see its effect on different skin types.
Inveda Sunscreen Cream Gel SPF 30 PA+++:
I ordered this sunscreen from Smytten. And totally loving it. It has a gel like cream consistency and feels very soothing and calming on the skin. It doesn’t leave any whitish cast either. And the fragrance is so pleasant. One of the best sunscreens I have ever used and would highly recommend to everyone.
Anoo’s Fair & Fresh Herbal Face Wash:
I have been using this product for a year now. It comes in powder form and though its mentioned as face wash, I use it like a face pack. Let me tell you, it works wonders on acne. I use it like a spot treatment by mixing with water and apply on my pimples and they are subdued with first use itself. I also mix with curd and apply on my entire face and it helps to reduce tan. It contains sandalwood powder, tulsi, mint, neem and turmeric all of which are excellent for combating acne. And it retails for just Rs.90. Very affordable for everyone to try. Con is, it is available only in Anoo’s salons.
Beauty Secrets Pigmentation Face Pack:
I ordered this face pack from a Instagram store called Beauty Secrets and loving it. Its still too early to say whether it cleared my pigmentation or not. But it feels very cooling and calming on the skin. It helps to reduce breakouts and remove tan to an extent.
Himalaya Herbals Revitalizing Night Cream:
I didn’t have much expectations from this cream as I have previously used the Himalaya Clear Complexion Day Cream and it irritated and caused tiny bumps all over my face. But contrary to it, this Himalaya night cream is very soothing and I liked it very much. It has a gel-like cream consistency and feels very light on the skin. If you are looking for a good, affordable, paraben-free night cream for summers, then I would suggest you to try this.
Soultree Apricot Moisturiser with Honey & Kokum Butter:
This is a natural, organic body lotion which is free from parabens and silicones. It is light on the skin, yet moisturizes and nourishes deeply. After using Nivea and Vaseline body lotions, this is a refreshing change.
Soultree Licorice & Shikakai with Strengthening Bhringraj Hair Repair Shampoo for Dull & Damaged Hair:
This is a gel based SLS free shampoo which is best for dry hair. Since it summers, I skip conditioners as they tend to weigh down my hair making it oily and limp. This shampoo cleanses my hair well without causing frizziness or dryness. I don’t feel the need of applying any conditioner. I have just tried 3 Soultree products, their lip balm, above body lotion and this shampoo. And all of them have worked great for me. If you love organic products, I would highly recommend you to try this brand.
Fruttini Cherry Vanilla Body Butter:
Now you might be thinking how am using a body butter in summers 😀. But this is one of the lightest body butters I have ever used. It has a very thin consistency and is very light-weight. And the fragrance of cherry vanilla is amazing 😍. You get a huge tub of 500ml which is going to last you forever.
Roots & Herbs Brightening Nutmeg Under Eye Tailam:
I received this in one of My Envy Box. It is an oil-based product. But it is very light and gets absorbed easily. It nourishes my under eye area, takes care of dryness and brightens dark circles. It works wonders on puffiness as well. My eyes also feel very relaxed after applying this.
Vert Cane Sugar with Kokum Butter Lip Scrub:
This is my current favorite lip scrub. I got this in My Envy Box and I have to say its really utterly delicious 😋. You can’t resist licking it while using 😄. It has a chocolate like flavor. I like to include it 2-3 times a week in my routine to scrub away dead cells on my lips.
Saante Rose Lip Balm:
This is an unknown brand for me. I got it in MSM Box. It has a thick consistency and works well in moisturizing my lips and healing dry, chapped lips. The best part about it is that it doesn’t add any gloss or sheen to the lips and leaves a matte finish so its a perfect base before applying any lipstick.
So these were my current favorites. Let me know if you want me to review any product in detail. Also check out our beautiful Sahijeeth’s current favorites here. And don’t forget to subscribe to her channel as she posts some amazing videos.
