Review of InstaGlam Natural Beauty Products – Vitamin C Foaming Cleanser, Kumkumadi Brightening Face Pack, Bridal Glow Serum, Sugar Kiss Lip Serum

Welcome back to a new post on IBeautySpy! Today I will be doing a brand review of InstaGlam. I came across this new beauty brand on Instagram (@insta_glam_beauty) . They had an interesting assortment of natural skin care and hair care products on their Instagram page. And I wanted to pick some of their unique and interesting stuff. I have already done a haul post on what I have ordered. You can check out the haul post here. InstaGlam is actually becoming popular nowadays and their products are appearing in many subscription boxes. So now let’s see how their products worked for me.

 

 

 

Review of InstaGlam Vitamin C Foaming Cleanser

 

 

 

Product claims:

– Suitable for all skin types
– With natural source of Vitamin C
– Gives radiance and freshness to skin
– 100% soap free cleanser

Ingredients:

Vitamin C Extract, Orange Peel Oil, Jojoba Oil

Price:

Rs.200 for 60ml and Rs.350 for 120ml.

InstaGlam Vitamin C Foaming Cleanser comes in a transparent plastic bottle with a nice, convenient pump packaging.

InstaGlam Vitamin C Foaming Cleanser looks bright orange in color and has a fresh, tangy, orange scent which is sure to awaken your senses. The consistency is gel-like and runny.

I like to use InstaGlam Vitamin C Foaming Cleanser first thing in the morning to pep my day with a burst of citrus scent. I take around 2 pumps of the cleanser and massage my face with it. I then leave it on for around 2-3 minutes while I do my morning routine. This is a gentle face wash which cleanses skin without drying. It does impart a faint radiance to the skin and makes face look instantly fresh. I don’t prefer using it in the evenings as I usually go for a heavy duty deep cleansing face wash to work on all the dirt and pollution.

I have never used a Vitamin C cleanser before and I quite liked this product. I like the radiance and freshness it gives to my skin. If you are looking for a gentle and fresh, citrusy cleanser for this summers, which is also free from sulphates and parabens, then I would definitely recommend this InstaGlam Vitamin C Foaming Cleanser. It is affordable as well.

Tip: Keep the cleanser on your face for 2-3 minutes before washing off for more effective results.

Review of InstaGlam Kumkumadi Brightening Face Pack

 

 

 

Product claims:

Brightens and rejuvenates skin, gives healthy glow.

Ingredients:

Kumkumadi tailam, Bentonite clay, Besan, Turmeric, Aloevera, Moringa, Vitamin E, Lavender, Argan oil

Price:

Rs.275 for 50g and Rs.450 for 100g.

InstaGlam Kumkumadi Brightening Face Pack comes in a simple plastic tub. The labels on the packaging were little torn when I received it. So I feel the packaging of these face packs can be improved.

InstaGlam Kumkumadi Brightening Face Pack looks white in color and has a thick, creamy consistency. It has a faint herbal fragrance which is not bothersome.

There is a slight tingling sensation after applying the pack which subsides in a while. This is a more of a moisturizing face pack better suited for normal to dry skin. Since its a moisturizing pack, you can’t see the glow instantly after washing the pack. I just apply few drops of InstaGlam Bridal Glow Serum after washing and follow up with a moisturizer and go to bed. Next morning, I cleanse my face with InstaGlam Vitamin C Foaming Cleanser and then I can clearly see the glow and brightness on my face. With regular use, it also works on pigmentation and acne scars to an extent. But it doesn’t do any miracles.

Normal to dry skin people can definitely give this a try once. Not a heavy duty miracle product, but if you have minor skin issues and just looking to enhance/maintain your skin, then this is a good option. The ingredients list is quite unique as compared to other face packs in the market.

Review of InstaGlam Bridal Glow Serum

Pomegranate Seed, Argan Oil, Rosehip Seed Oil, Frankinsence, Carrot Seed, Roman Chamomile, Neroli, Cedarwood, Geranium, Lavender, Fennel Seed, Rose, Lemon, Helichrysum, Sandalwood, Jasmine

Price:

Rs.650 for 15ml

InstaGlam Bridal Glow Serum – I don’t have any words for this product! One of the best serums I have ever tried till date. If you would have read my post on ‘Best Beauty Buys in 2017‘, you would have seen me mentioning this as Best Face Serum for 2017. And it is 100% true!

Just look at the ingredients list. It is a blend of the best essential oils ever. Whoever decided upon this ingredients mixture, just hats off to the person!

InstaGlam Bridal Glow Serum is colorless and clear. It has a nice smell of various essential oils. I can’t find any one prominent scent indicating that all essential oils have been used in more or less equal amounts. The texture is very light and non-sticky. It is easily absorbed and oily skin people will love it for sure. As it is light and non-greasy, it is suitable for all skin types.

So me and my sister have been using the InstaGlam Bridal Glow Serum for a long time now. Both of us have the same review. It truly gives a bridal glow! It helps to remove tan, brighten skin and improve complexion. You can easily see the effects in a matter of 4-5 days. With regular use, it has also faded most of my acne scars. Am currently on my 3rd bottle now. And I have one more as backup 😀

Review of InstaGlam Sugar Kiss Lip Serum

Product claims:

For bright, luscious and rosy lips.

Sweet Almond Oil, Rosehip Seed Oil, Lemon, Sandalwood Oil, Frankinsence, Rose Oil

This is the first time am using a lip serum or lip oil. I have heard so many reviews of Clarins Lip Oil and always wanted to try it. But its so expensive. Thanks to InstaGlam for introducing this unique lip serum/lip oil.

InstaGlam Sugar Kiss Lip Serum is also colorless and clear. It has a sweet fragrance or flavor if you accidentally lick your lips (maybe that’s why named as sugar kiss 😀 ). The texture is light and non-sticky.

InstaGlam Sugar Kiss Lip Serum is perfect to be used under your lipsticks and lip balms. It smoothens lips, moisturizes them and keeps them supple. Though its an oil, it doesn’t make your lips too shiny or glossy. Rather the perfect amount of shine for healthy lips.

Since its a lip serum, it is not as heavy duty as a lip balm. If you have very dry or chapped lips, this might not work. And considering its effects on pigmented lips, I haven’t noticed much improvement in my pigmentation. After finishing one whole bottle, its just been very little effect. My small suggestion to InstaGlam would be to improve the formula to work better on pigmented lips and also change the packaging to a pen kind of applicator.

But nevertheless, I liked the texture and feel of this serum on my lips compared to other lip balms and I so will surely repurchase this.

Overall, I am happy with my haul of InstaGlam products. They are natural formulations, free of parbens, sulphates and harmful chemicals. And I find the price also reasonable and affordable. Each product is made with a unique set of ingredients which I haven’t seen with other brands yet. Because of the above points, I like InstaGlam and looking forward to try more products from them. My small suggestion to the brand would be to improve on the packaging labels which are very thin and get torn off easily in transit.
