Hope you all had a great week! Weekend has finally arrived and I am looking forward to catch up on my sleep 😀 . And pamper myself with some skincare and haircare. So I like using deep conditioning hair masks to treat my hair whenever I have time. Now, if I have to tell you in one sentence about this product, once you use this hair mask, you will throw away all those Loreal and Schwarzkopf hair masks tubs! Yes, this is million times better than the salon hair masques. To know why, continue reading. Let’s see what’s so amazing about Aroma Essentials Banana & Coconut Milk Hair Mask. Meanwhile, you can also checkout reviews of other Aroma Essentials products here.

I will come straight on to the review of the product as I have so much to say 🙂 . Aroma Essentials Banana & Coconut Milk Hair Mask is beige color and has a very thick creamy consistency. In winters here in Bangalore, it tends to harden up a bit. But it will melt immediately on contact with hands. The scent is OMG! Just amazing! It has a mix of banana and coconut milk scent along with some fresh uplifting smell of essential oils. This is exactly the kind of scent that you would like to linger in your hair after wash – refreshing, clean with a hint of warm banana and coconut milk. I love using this product just for the smell. Even the Loreal or other branded hair masks doesn’t have this kind of smell. Also, I would like to clarify that this is not an artificial fragrance and it feels entirely natural.
Now there are two ways that I use Aroma Essentials Banana & Coconut Milk Hair Mask. One is using it as a deep conditioning hair mask once a week or once in two weeks as time permits. The other is using it in place of a regular conditioner whenever I wash my hair.
As a deep conditioning hair mask:
I take about 3 teaspoons of Aroma Essentials Banana & Coconut Milk Hair Mask from the container into a bowl. I would suggest using a spoon as to not contaminate the product. Since its a 100% natural product, we need to be extra cautious. I need 3 teaspoons of the product and it is more than enough for my waist-length long hair. If you have shorter hair, take care to adjust the quantity accordingly, else using more quantity can make your hair look flat. After washing my hair with a mild sulphate-free shampoo, I squeeze out the excess water from hair and start applying the hair mask. I focus mainly on the hair lengths and ends as this is where my hair is extremely dry and frizzy. In the end, I also apply little on my scalp. Since its 100% natural, its safe to be used on scalp as well unlike usual drugstore hair masks. I keep the mask on my hair for around 15 minutes and then wash off with normal water and let it air dry.
I can instantly see the smoothness and shine in my hair. And when I say shine, trust me, you can really see the difference. I usually have dull hair but after this hair mask, there is a remarkable shine. Also the hair mask tackles all my dryness, frizziness and tangles and I experience significantly lesser hairfall. It doesn’t weigh down my hair and volume doesn’t reduce. The results are just very similar to what you will get in an expensive hair spa at a salon. But at a very lesser cost though! The above effects lasts for even around a week which I think is a blessing for dry hair people like me who end up with frizzy hair within 3-4 days of applying hair masks usually. Also the refreshing scent lingers in your hair for 2 days in this case.
Using it as a hair mask and leaving on for atleast 15 minutes is my most recommended method for using this product.
As a conditioner:
Sometimes I am short of time or too lazy to use a hair mask in my routine. In those days, I just take around 1 teaspoon (1.5 teaspoon if my hair is very dry and frizzy) of this Aroma Essentials Banana & Coconut Milk Hair Mask and apply on the lengths of my hair. I keep it for only 5 minutes or so and then wash off.
Now in this case, I have reduced both the quantity as well as time for keeping it. But the results are good. Yes, the remarkable shine is not there. There is a little shine of course. And the smoothness and softness lasts for only 3-4 days in this case. The scent stays for only 6-7 hours. But still it performs better than a regular conditioner for me. Yet, for best results, I would say use it as a hair mask only.
Long term effects:
Coming to long term effects, usually we don’t expect much other than smoothness and frizz control from a hair mask. But since this is made of 100% natural ingredients, I could see significant improvement in my hairfall too. Earlier I faced a lot of hairfall and hair breakage issues. But after using this Aroma Essentials Banana & Coconut Milk Hair Mask for around 2 months, I can see my hair is stronger, nourished and less susceptible to breakage than before. It has helped repair my damaged hair. I have been using all Aroma Essentials hair care products – Hair Therapy Oil, Onion Shea Butter Hair Cleanser and this hair mask. And using them together, I can’t see which product specifically helped in hair growth. But together, I can see my hair has become denser, thicker and new hair has sprouted on my crown area.
Bananas are rich in potassium, natural oils and vitamins which soften the hair and protect the hair’s natural elasticity.
Coconut milk is packed with vitamins C, E, B1, B3, B5, and B6 as well as iron, selenium, sodium, calcium, magnesium and phosphorus. Also contains Niacin and Folate which improve the blood circulation in your scalp. The vitamin E and fats present in it fight damage and deeply condition your hair.
So, yes, if you are looking to arrest hairfall and grow your hair, I would suggest using the complete set of Aroma Essentials hair care products as they have been very effective for me.
I have been using this mask for more than 2 months and still I have so much left. You need only a small amount each time (3 teaspoons for hair mask or 1 teaspoon for conditioning), so its going to last really long.
