Review of Plum Goodness Hello Aloe Skin Loving Face Wash

Hi all,
Am back with the review of another Plum product. For those who don’t know Plum Goodness, it is a brand that is conscious about its ingredients list. Unlike other natural brands, Plum doesn’t lie about everything being 100% natural. If you ever see a brand claiming 100% natural, don’t believe them, unless the product is in a powder form. Some synthetic compounds are necessary for manufacturing any beauty product. What matters is what synthetic compounds are being chosen. If you take great care in choosing natural ingredients and fill the remaining with bad synthetic compounds, is it going to serve any purpose? To know more about the ingredients, check out the blog post by Plum here. Plum ensures 100% safety of each ingredient that goes into the product. Coming back to the product, doesn’t the name itself sound cool – Hello Aloe Skin Loving Face Wash? Read on to know whether it is really loving to the skin. (Sorry for the messy packaging in the pics. I used it a lot… ????)

Product claims

Wash face. Love skin.
Soft, cuddled skin that will thank you for loving it. This face wash is specially made from a skin-loving cocktail of mild cleansers, with bucketfuls of aloe juice to make face washing a peaceful affair. This face wash cleans gently, without drying. Think about it…clean, and dry – they mean two very different things, no?
A few drops of this wonder are enough to work up a rich, gentle lather that cleans your face without being overenthusiastic about it, leaving it soft, hydrated and cared-for. The fresh aloe fragrance stays long after you’re done washing your face. Use twice daily for best results.

Plum products as usual have a fun, chic packaging. How many of you like the packaging of Plum ?????

Plum Goodness Hello Aloe Skin Loving Face Wash is a runny liquid with a transparent, gel like consistency. It has a slight greenish tinge to it. The fragrance is mild and not bothering. But its an added fragrance as you can see in the ingredients list. I wonder why they add fragrance and colors ????.

Plum Goodness Hello Aloe Skin Loving Face Wash lathers very well. Though it lathers well, it is very gentle on the skin as the surfactants used are mild. It leaves skin feeling fresh, clean, soft and hydrated. There is no dry, stretchy feeling.

Since its a mild face wash, it is not very effective when your skin needs deep cleansing. Like when you return home after being outside in the pollution and dirt for a long time. Also, it might not help if you have oily skin which is prone to breakouts, whiteheads and blackheads.

I like to use Plum Goodness Hello Aloe Skin Loving Face Wash only in the morning as we don’t need a heavy duty face wash in the morning. For evening I have a deep cleansing face wash. Also, when I am home all day on weekends, I use this one.

I mainly got this face wash reading the claim of “bucketfuls of real aloe juice” as aloe vera is a magical ingredient and it works well for my skin. And the face wash does justice to it. With continuous use, you can notice your skin feeling lot softer and a subtle glow just like using pure aloe vera gel.

The ingredients list of Plum Goodness Hello Aloe Skin Loving Face Wash impresses me the most. I like when products have a minimal list and not a long, long list like our exam essay ????. This has a simple ingredients list with aloe juice listed as the first one. Cocamide DEA, Cocamidopropyl Betaine are mild surfactants followed by glycerin and olive oil. Phenoxyethanol is a preservative. The last ingredient is SLES. The only ingredients I don’t like are SLES, approved colors and fragrance.
