Review of Suganda Antioxidant Vitamin C Face Serum

Hi all,
Here am with review of another Suganda product. I have already reviewed Suganda Neem Green Tea Mask and Suganda White Lotus Moisturiser which I absolutely loved. If you have oily, acne-prone, sensitive skin and most other products don’t suit your skin type, then I would highly recommend this brand. Today let’s see how Suganda Antioxidant Vitamin C Face Serum performs. Also I will tell you the importance of an antioxidant serum and why we should include one in our routine.

Product claims

Vitamin C & Orange
For Pigmentation, Sun Damage, Wrinkles, Acne
Vitamin C is one of the most effective & proven ingredients in skincare. Let this oil-free gel reveal your best skin. We use Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate pH 6, which is less irritating and more stable. While traditional vitamin C serums use (L-Ascorbic Acid pH of 4) which can irritate skin and is less stable.

Sweet Orange Essential Oil– Rich in antioxidants & citric acid, it helps to even the surface of skin

Geranium Essential oil – Balances the production of sebum, and helps eliminate overly-dry or overly-oily skin. Acts as natural toner & astringent with antibacterial & antiseptic qualities.

Ingredients

Aqua, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate( a stable vitamin C), Glycerin, Jojoba extract, Xanthan Gum, Hyaluronic Acid, Phenoxylethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Fragrance (Natural Essential Oils of Sweet Orange and Geranium)

Price

Rs.1000 for 20ml.

Suganda Antioxidant Vitamin C Face Serum comes in a dark, tinted glass bottle with a dropper packaging. There is no leakage, so it can be carried while traveling (I have done it ????).

Suganda Antioxidant Vitamin C Face Serum looks slightly brownish in color and has a runny, watery consistency. The fragrance is slightly citrusy, not very strong.

Just 2-3 drops of the serum from the dropper is enough for one use. Suganda Antioxidant Vitamin C Face Serum feels just like applying water on face. It gets absorbed instantly and I don’t feel like I have applied anything on my skin at all. My face doesn’t get oily or greasy after sometime.

After using Suganda Antioxidant Vitamin C Serum for three weeks, twice a day, here are the results. It has helped to fade most of my acne scars. It has reduced pigmentation on my cheeks and neck. My skin is now visibly brightened and clear. It also helped in removing sun tan and reversing signs of sun damage (dull and dehydrated skin). My skin looks firmer and youthful. Also, I don’t feel any tingling sensation on applying this as with usual vitamin C serums. The reason being they have used Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, which has pH 6 and is less irritating, more stable. Most vitamin C serums in the market use L-Ascorbic Acid which has a pH of 4 and that causes a slight tingling effect. Also the addition of hyaluronic acid helps in hydrating the skin.

Incorporating an antioxidant serum in your skincare routine is really essential nowadays. Sun exposure, pollution and other environmental factors damage our skin and result in free radicals. Antioxidant serum is the second most important thing next to sunscreen which helps protects our skin. Free radicals cause damage to the DNA and our cells. Antioxidants complex the free radicals, which are missing a molecule and neutralize them. They also increase collagen and prevent premature skin aging. Using an antioxidant serum is a great step towards preventing and reversing the signs of ageing.

Does it satisfy all its claims?

Yes, it satisfies all its claims – pigmentation, sun damage and acne scars. But I haven’t noticed much effect on wrinkles. Might be needed to use for longer period.

Slightly on the higher side.

IBeautySpy Rating: 4.5/5

Incorporating Suganda products in my routine has made my skin clear, clarified and calm. It has lightened, brightened and even-out my skin tone and complexion. And all these 3 products (cleanser/mask, serum and moisturizer) are gentle on the skin – so they are apt for sensitive skin people. I like that they have simple and minimal ingredients, yet work effectively. I would highly recommend the brand Suganda to everyone.

P.S Product sent by the brand for consideration. But my opinions and reviews are unbiased and honest as always.
