Monsoon Series – Review of Rejoov Cold Pressed Juices – Part I

Monsooons are the time when our immunity levels goes into a mess and we catch frequent illness. It important to take care of our health during this weather. Unlike summers, during rainy seasons, we often neglect drinking adequate water leading to dehydration. Also, this is the time when we reach out for hot street foods like vada pav and pakoras. Hydration and detoxification are key things to follow during this monsoon season. Today, I will be reviewing a startup service which aids in this – Rejoov Cold Pressed Juices.

For starters, you might be wondering what Cold Pressed juices are and how they are different from regular juices. Well, to explain in detail, cold pressed technology uses hydraulics to extract juices which preserve the nutrition that fresh fruits and vegetables have to offer. This results in a nutrient dense juice, full of minerals, live enzymes, vitamins and antioxidants. A traditional blender uses high speed to blend produce, which generates heat while extracting juice, this results in a loss of essential nutrients to heat and oxygen.

Rejoov juices are meant to be a food supplement. Rejoov combined with small meals provides complete and balanced nutrition every day. This helps subside the craving to eat food while providing satiety. Rejoov has been designed to fulfil the daily bare minimum energy requirements, with special emphasis on micro and macro nutrients such as essential vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and antioxidants. It provides the body with optimal balance of nutrients while preventing toxicity due to overconsumption of certain nutrients.

Product Claims:
Thomas Edison once said, “The doctor of the future will no longer treat the human frame with drugs, but rather will cure and prevent disease with nutrition.”

As most of us are well aware, good and complete nutrition forms an important cornerstone of our health and wellbeing. It is one of the most potent elements available to us to help combat the negative effects of today’s stressful routines and lifestyle related problems. Often our fast paced lifestyles do not allow us the time or energy to actually incorporate these tenets and rejuvenate ourselves in our day to day lives. It is to bridge this gap that we have created ‘Rejoov’.

Our six packs are intended as a supplement to a meal, thereby enhancing the nutritional benefit of the meal itself. They also make an extremely healthy and satisfying snack on their own.

How are Rejoov Juices prepared?
Fruits and vegetables are sourced directly from farms and each of the ingredients is meticulously checked for freshness and quality. Fruits and vegetables are then cleaned thoroughly using filtered water and UV based technology. During the cold press process, the produce is first turned into a fine pulp and then the juice is extracted using a hydraulic press. This method helps retain in the juice all nutritional components that might otherwise be lost during processing. Hygiene is a top priority at Rejoov. Special precautions are taken to avoid any direct contact of the product with human hands. The juice is then packed in 100% BPA free, sterilized PET bottles and is refrigerated until it reaches you!

All of Rejoov Juices are chemical free, with no added sugar, flavors or preservatives and also 100% raw and gluten-free.

Rejoov juices come in 7 different variants. Each of the variant is dedicated for a specific condition. Here I will review 3 of the variants and the remaining 4 variants in Part 2.

Forti-Fire is a juice rich in antioxidants. It helps to battle the ill effects of daily pollution and ageing. Forti-Fire juice nourishes the body and its various minerals and enriched compounds help to fight against free radicals damage. It tastes predomindately of pineapple and mint, little sour due to the lemon content, but the mint gives a refreshing feeling. The addition of chia seeds makes it more flavorful.

Nut Pro:

This is my favorite juice in the entire range. Nut Pro is specially blended for fitness buffs and busy bodies who need an energy boost on the go. The taste is delicious. Almond and vanilla tops it. The almonds are finely grounded and one can feel a nice, gritty texture. I took this drink after coming back from a long trip in the traffic-laden roads of Bangalore and it instantly energized me. I wish they add more honey to it so it tastes sweeter. This is the highest calorie drink in the set.

Green Infusion:
Ingredients: Apple, Orange, Spinach, Cucumber, Celery, Lemon, Goji Berry
Calories: 32.4 kcal

I have always wanted to make spinach juice at home. But am just lazy. And its difficult to find them even in juice shops. Thanks to Rejoov, they have a green juice with all the goodness of spinach, cucumber and celery. The taste is predominately of spinach and cucumber with a hint of tangy orange. Green Infusion is designed to cleanse the system. It’s high soluble dietary fibre allows food to be assimilated quickly, while it’s nutrient-dense ingredients help to repair the system. So hit the reset button with Green Infusion when you feel your stomach needs some rest.

I hope you enjoyed the review of these three Rejoov juices. I will post the review of the remaining four variants soon. Stay tuned.

P.S Products sent by the brand for consideration. But my opinions and reviews are honest as always.
