Review of Alanna Naturally Beautiful Hair Strengthening Mask

Hi all,
I have never reviewed any hair mask on my blog before. Reason being, I don’t use any hair masks ????. I do have very dry and frizzy hair. But most of the commercially available hair masks contain silicones. Now, silicones can make your hair very smooth and soft as it forms a coating on your hair strand. But they also make your hair brittle and weak, leading to hairfall. I have used silicone-based conditioners before but my hair is allergic to silicones and I have faced lots of hairfall. So I have stayed away from hair masks thinking frizzy hair is better than hairfall any day ????. The only hair mask I use is DIY yogurt mask. When I received this Alanna Naturally Beautiful Hair Strengthening Mask in my mail, I was really happy as I finally have a silicone-free hair mask, made only with all natural ingredients. Read on to know my experience with this hair mask.

Product claims

Opulent with Moroccan oil, aloe vera and cinnamon leaf oil, this hair mask is perfectly formulated to strengthen your hair from the roots and adds volume, besides maintaining natural lustre and evenness throughout the strands. Other ingredients like honey and avocado oil are excellent in removing split ends and improving the appearance and texture of hair. Moroccan oil is another catalyst in removing split ends, rich in vitamin E and Omega-3 and Omega-9 fatty acids. It also controls frizz and tames the hair endowing a natural shine and lustre. This type of hair mask is suitable for dry and brittle hair as it moisturizes and works as a deep conditioner.

Alanna Naturally Beautiful Hair Strengthening Mask comes in a beautiful, luxurious packaging just like their Golden Glow Face Pack. The design and the prints on the packaging are very elegant and classy. I totally love their packaging.

Alanna Naturally Beautiful Hair Strengthening Mask is white in color and has a very thick, creamy consistency. It has a little strong scent of cinnamon oil, but since I like the smell of cinnamon, I find it to be very refreshing. The fragrance stays in your hair for about a day or two and I like how fresh my hair smells throughout.

How I use the hair mask:

As mentioned in the directions of usage, I first apply a thin layer of oil on my hair before applying the mask. I would recommend doing that as the mask is very thick and it would be difficult to spread on dry hair. Oil will give slight slipping for the mask to spread evenly. I apply the hair mask from the roots to the ends all over. I especially concentrate on the ends as they are the driest and frizz-prone. I keep the mask for atleast 40 minutes or sometimes even overnight. I would recommend you to keep it overnight as I have observed very good results from that. I then wash off with a mild, natural shampoo. I don’t use any conditioners afterward.

Results after using the hair mask:

After washing and drying, my first observance was how super shiny my hair was. It looked black, voluminous and lustrous. I had never seen my hair so shiny. The mask also made my hair smooth and soft. My hair is generally very frizzy. But this mask tamed my frizz altogether. I also face the problem of split ends many times. I could see my split ends reduce considerably after using this. Since this contains beeswax, it also adds texture to hair and makes it easy for styling. You won’t need any separate styling product afterwards. And the fresh scent lingers on your hair for a long time as well. With regular use, I can find my hairfall as reduced. So I would say Alanna Naturally Beautiful Hair Strengthening Mask is a multi-tasking product which solves all hair issues in one go.

The price may seem expensive, but it is very less than what you would pay for a hair spa at a salon. Which by the way is only full of chemicals. This is a natural way to do your hair spa at home at lesser cost. So I would totally recommend this hair mask to everyone.

IBeautySpy Rating: 5/5

Overall, I would say the mask is very good for dry, dull and frizz-prone hair. But oily hair people can skip it as it will be heavy for them. I have used only two products from Alanna till now and I feel that they are a top-notch brand which does all it claims. There are a lot of natural brands popping up nowadays with so many claims but which they fail to do. Amidst that, Alanna is a brand you can blindly trust. If you want some heavy duty products which work effectively, then try my highly recommended Alanna Golden Glow Face Pack as well as Alanna Hair Strengthening Mask.

P.S Product sent by the brand for consideration. But my opinions and reviews are honest as always.
