The packaging of all Juicy Chemistry products is simply amazing. This comes in a sturdy jar. On opening you can find the product covered by a silver foil, so you know that it is unopened and a new product. They also send an additional inner lid which you can use once you open the silver foil. Also this is accompanied by a cute wooden spoon ????

The first time I opened the jar, it looked like a jar of chocolate icecream to me. Just see the below picsΒ ????. Juicy Chemistry Choco Mint Body Butter looks chocolate-brown in color and has a very thick buttery consistency. The scent is very similar to the Juicy Chemistry Choco Mint Lip Balm. A bit of chocolate along with peppermint scent. I find the peppermint scent to be more predominant than the chocolate one.

Now the USP of Juicy Chemistry products is their scent. All their products have an amazing, strong fragrance. It is not anything artificial and its only due to the addition of essential oils and other natural herbs. This body butter is no exception and once you open the jar, you will be greeted with an amazing and refreshing scent which will fill your entire room. Not really good while you are travelling ????, but at home its such a wonderful experience.

I was using Juicy Chemistry Choco Mint Body Butter throughout the winter season. Due to the cold climate, the butter had actually hardened up. This just indicates the presence of cocoa butter and shea butter in high quantities. If the quantity of butters was less and oils were more, it would still be in a creamy state in cold climate.

Though it had hardened up, when you apply on the skin, it will immediately melt. The peppermint fragrance feels so refreshing and relaxing while you apply. It moisturizes and nourishes dry skin making it smooth and softer. It also heals dry patches effectively. Now this body butter is not very emollient as no beeswax or other fillers have been added. So you might feel the texture is not creamy like other body butters. Those who have used pure shea and cocoa butters can relate to it. And the result is that you won’t notice immediate results of nourishment and softening skin. You need to use it continuously for atleast a week to see the results as natural butters penetrate into the skin and repair it from deep within unlike emollients which form a protective layer on the top of skin.

Overall, Juicy Chemistry Choco Mint Body Butter is a good body butter with 100% natural butters and oils, good for normal to dry skin. But if you are someone who is used to creamy, light body butters (read TBS ????) then you might not find this appealing. However, I would say, in the long term, using natural butters and oils is highly beneficial for your skin.

Here I would like to do a small comparison with Imiana House Choco Mint Body Butter. If you love chocolate scents more than mint, then I would suggest you to try the Imiana House one which has higher percentage of cocoa powder. If you like refreshing minty scents more, then give this one from Juicy Chemistry a try. Also the Imiana House one is more of a whipped cream consistency.
