Review of Auravedic Kumkumadi Oil | Comparison with Auravedic Skin Lightening Oil – Which One Should You Go For?

Hi all,
Auravedic is one my favorite natural beauty brands. Not only are their products pocket-friendly and affordable, but they also work well and show results. I have previously reviewed Auravedic Skin Lightening Oil, Auravedic Pure Lightening Skin Polish, Auravedic Anti Blemish Face Mask, Auravedic Ritual Skin Lightening Mask and Auravedic Aloe Vera Gel. Do checkout the reviews in the above links. Today I will be reviewing one of their bestselling products, Auravedic Kumkumadi Oil. I would say this is the most affordable Kumkumadi oil I have ever come across. So let’s see whether it is really effective.

IBeautySpy spies:

Auravedic Kumkumadi Oil looks orange in color and has a sweet saffron kind of fragrance to it, similar to other kumkumadi oils that I have tried. The texture of the oil is thicker than the Auravedic Skin Lightening Oil.

I have been using Auravedic Kumkumadi Oil mostly as a body oil. My arms and feet were terribly tanned and I wanted to see if this will remove the tan and bring back glow and radiance to my skin. I just take around 4-5 drops and massage my hands with it. And same for my feet. As the consistency of the oil is thicker than the other variant, Auravedic Skin Lightening Oil, I find it is more nourishing to the skin than that. But skin does feel oily and greasy for sometime after applying, till it gets absorbed completely. If you live in a very humid, sweating place, this might not be suitable for you and I would suggest you to go for the Skin Lightening Oil instead.

Coming to the results, yes, Auravedic Kumkumadi Oil does help in brightening skin and giving glow. But you have to use it patiently for atleast 2 months continuously. I think for the price point, it is not as highly concentrated as the kumkumadi oils from other brands. Nevertheless I am happy with this as I am able to use this affordable kumkumadi oil for my body. It makes skin so smooth and soft. I have also noticed some slight effect on pigmentation, though not much. And my skin does feel young, healthy and radiant.

By the way, this is not a vegan product as it contains goat’s milk and Laccifer Lacca. The latter is a slick serum and secretion from a scale insect species Laccifer Lacca. These insects suck the sap of several plants and bushes and secrete Lac as a protective covering (This is the info I found in google about Laccifer Lacca. If I am wrong, Auravedic team, please clear ????).

If you are confused between choosing Auravedic Skin Lightening Oil and Auravedic Kumkumadi Oil, I would say choose one depending on your skin type and climate conditions. If you have oily or combination skin or stay in a humid place, go for the Auravedic Skin Lightening Oil. If you have normal to dry skin or stay in a dry weather place, go for the Auravedic Kumkumadi Oil. The results have been more or less same I feel in both the oils – glow, radiance, brightness, fading blemishes and pigmentation. But whichever you choose, be patient and use regularly for 2 months to see the results.

I just finished a bottle of this! My friend had gifted me. It was too oily and sticky for my face but worked nicely on my arms and legs to keep them smooth, soft, and also managed to lighten tan a bit 🙂

You can use this for your face if you have dry skin. Which is not prone to acne. Once a day should be fine.
