Review of Aroma Essentials Tomato Sunblock SPF-30

Hi all,
Today am back with the review of another Aroma Essentials product. If you haven’t yet read my review of Aroma Essentials Rose Face Wash, do check it out in the above link. Today I will be reviewing Aroma Essentials Tomato Sunblock SPF 30. The market is loaded with lots of sunscreens. But since I stick mostly to natural, organic products, I have a hard time finding sunscreens that are natural and free from parabens and silicones. Some of the natural brands have sunscreens, but there is no SPF mentioned and so I hesitate to use them as I don’t know whether it would offer sufficient protection from the sun. But Aroma Essentials offer their natural, handmade sunscreens with SPF 30. It comes in 3 variants – Tomato Sunblock, Carrot Sunblock and Calamine Sunblock.

IBeautySpy spies:

Before I begin with the review, I would like to say I hate applying sunscreens because most of them leave white patches on my face which looks ugly. I need to take lot of time to blend the cream to avoid the white patches. Even then some sunscreens still doesn’t blend and make you look like a ghost. Also after applying, I get a heavy feeling on face. But with Aroma Essentials I think I have found my HG sunscreen. ????

Aroma Essentials Tomato Sunblock SPF-30 comes in a small tub which is perfect for carrying in your handbag so you can reapply when needed on the go. There is also an inner lid for protection when you open the outer lid.

The sunblock has a light pinkish tinge to it. It is thick in consistency and has a very smooth whipped texture. The fragrance is mild and very soothing.

It spreads easily without leaving any dry patches. The sunblock is lightweight and doesn’t give a heavy feeling unlike other sunscreens. I don’t feel like I have applied anything at all. It gets absorbed easily leaving a slight dewy finish. It makes my skin smooth and bright.

Coming to the most important part of a sunscreen, it doesn’t leave any whitish cast. I hate sunscreens which leave a whitish cast and doesn’t blend easily.

With regular use, I have observed that it prevents tanning and makes my skin so smooth and soft. Coming to its claims of reducing dark spots and discoloration, I have many dark spots but I haven’t noticed any effect on them. Maybe I need to use it for a long time to see results.

I love the fact that it contains tomato extracts and juice which are highly beneficial for skin pigmentation and tanned skin. Tomatoes are loaded with vitamins, lycopene and proteins. The lycopene found in it helps to counteract the action of free radicals in the skin. Lycopene also acts as a natural sunscreen.

Do not just restrict yourself to using sunscreen for your skincare regime. Consider going for painless hair removal procedures to add a healthy glow to your skin. Learn more info at TouchUpLaser.com.

* Free from parabens and silicones.
* Cruelty free.
* Nice, smooth texture.
* Lightweight and doesn’t feel heavy on the skin.
* Spreads and gets absorbed quickly.
* Gives a slight dewy finish.
* Makes skin smooth, soft and bright.
* Does not leave any whitish cast.
* Prevents tanning.
* High SPF and protects from both UVA and UVB rays.

Suggestions for improvements:

I wish they also make a sunscreen body lotion as this is too thick to be used for body.

Does it satisfy all its claims?

It protects from UVA and UVB rays and does the role of a sunscreen well. But I haven’t noticed any reduction in dark spots. Maybe it needs to be used for a longer time.

Would I recommend?

Yes, definitely for all skin types. Use it after applying a moisturizer.

Would I repurchase?

Yes, definitely.

Value for money?

Its expensive compared to your drugstore sunscreens. But considering that its 100% natural and handmade, it is worth the money.

IBeautySpy Rating: 5/5 (Yes, that’s how effective it is and how much I loved it)

Aroma Essentials Tomato Sunblock SPF 30 is one of the best sunscreens I have used so far. It is 100% natural, handmade and contains tomato extracts and juice. The problem that I have with most sunscreens is the whitish patches and the heavy feeling. But Aroma Essentials scores well on both aspects. It is suitable for all skin types and I would definitely recommend it to all natural product lovers.

P.S Products sent by the brand for consideration. But my opinions and reviews are unbiased and honest as always.

      Yes, tomatoes are very good for skin. But am lazy to extract tomato juice and make face packs at home. This product is a good and easy way for our skin to get the goodness of tomatoes 🙂

    Good review Archana.. I’m currently using carrot sunblock from aroma essentials.. I totally agree with every pros and con’s.. Additionally one box lasts for so many months.. Half way of usage, the cream leaves an oily smell which makes an odd feeling to apply it.. I still stick to this because of its too many pros ????
