Monsoon Series – Monsoon Beauty Bag Essentials

Hello lovelies! So as promised here I am with the first post in the Monsoon Series. Our skin and hair goes through its own changes as per the seasons. Monsoon weather needs some special care and here I will list down the essentials that you need to have in your monsoon beauty bag.

essentials

Facial Wipes: It might be that you are travelling outside somewhere and got caught in the rain. Always have a pack of facial wipes in your bag for a quick freshening of your face. I would recommend Kara Refreshing Face Wipes with Mint Oil and Aloe Vera. Not only does it refresh your face, but also removes all dust and impurities and makes it clean.
Price: Rs.40 for 10 wipes.

Hand Sanitizers: It is important to be extra hygienic during monsoons as the rains can breed a host of germs. Carry a small bottle of hand sanitizer with you in your bag. Try a herbal one like Himalaya PureHands Hand Sanitizer.
Price: Rs.80 for 100ml.

Face Wash: Change your face wash to a more gentle, creamier one during this weather so that it doesn’t dry out your skin. I use The Body Shop Tea Tree Cool and Creamy Face Wash which purifies the skin as well as doesn’t dry it out.
Price: Rs.695 for 100ml.

Water-proof Sunscreen: Don’t skip the sunscreen because you see a cloudy weather. UV radiations can penetrate even through clouds. Using a water-proof sunscreen is important else your sunscreen might just get washed away while it rains. Try Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunblock SPF50 PA+++ or Lotus Professional PhytoRx Sunblock Mist SPF50 PA+++.
Price: Rs.199 for 30ml and Rs.595 for 100ml.

Hair serum: Monsoons can create havoc on your hair. As your hair gets blown away in the winds, it tends to get all frizzy and messy. Use a hair serum like The Body Shop Grapeseed Glossing Serum to tame your flyaways and frizziness. I use Dove Elixir Hibiscus & Argan Oil Nourished Shine.
Price: Rs.995 for 75ml and Rs.185 for 90ml.

Foot spray: Walking in puddles of water and dirty mud can lead to fungal infections on the foot and toes. A refreshing foot spray can help to disinfect and protect your foot. Try the The Nature’s Co Lemongrass Foot Spray. It is made from lemongrass, patchouli and tea tree oils which instantly revive and energize tired feet.
Price: Rs.495 for 100ml.

Foot scrub: Again, foot care is important during monsoons. It is important to exfoliate your feet and remove dead cells to maintain soft and clean feet. Try Vaadi Herbals Foot Scrub with Fenugreek and Lemongrass Oil or for some luxury pampering, Kama Ayurveda Foot Scrub.
Price: Rs.95 for 110g and Rs.550 for 50g.

Bath salt: Bath salts are a great way to relax yourself in rainy days. They help to relax tired and worn-out muscles and relieve stress. Am using Fuschia Saffron Sandal Bath Salt. Review will be up on the blog soon.
