How To Get Ready To Attend a New Year Party

How was your Christmas celebrations? Hope your New Year too is filled with the same happiness and celebrations ????. Today am writing a post which will help you in the same. Most of you might be attending parties and functions on the eve of New Year. So, keeping your needs in mind, am here with a ‘How To Get Ready To Attend a New Year Party’ post. All of us want to look our best for a New Year Party, whether it be with friends or family. So here’s a step by step tutorial on the same. Right from last-minute skincare to makeup to some basic essential jewellery like earrings and bangles, you will find everything here. So read on.

Plan your parlor visits a day before:

Many of us will be doing facial, waxing, manicure and pedicure right before going for the party. I would say plan your beauty parlor visits atleast 1-2 days before the event. This will avoid last minute tensions and also in case you get any skin irritations, there will be ample time to soothe and reduce them. My recommended parlors are YLG Salon, Enrich Salon and Lakme Salons. That’s because I know for a fact they have beauty salon risk assessment support. I would suggest going for white chocolate or almond waxing to reduce tan and also brighten skin. You can also go for premium gold waxing at YLG Salons. Make sure you plan your outfits in advance and choose the right shade of nail polish according to it while doing manicure or pedicure.

Double Cleansing for oil-free, mattifying look:

Its important for our face to remain fresh and oil-free throughout the party. So I would suggest a double cleansing. Use any deep cleansing face wash and follow up with a powder cleanser like besan flour mixed with turmeric. This will ensure you get rid of all the dirt and oil from the pores. I am currently using the Natural Bath and Body Grapefruit & Vitamin C foaming cleanser as a deep cleansing face wash. It is SLS and parabens free. I then follow up with a mix of besan flour + turmeric powder.

Natural Face Scrub for instantly smooth, soft and glowing skin:

It is really important to exfoliate your skin before attending a party. You don’t want your face to look dull and rough. Use a gentle natural facial scrub like Junaili Apricot Face Scrub. Massage your face with it for around 3-4 minutes to remove all dead cells and reveal a bright, glowing complexion.

Facial Oil Massage for a natural glow similar to highlighter:

Take few drops of any facial oil like Blue Nectar Shubhr Oil or Organique Renewal Face Serum. You can also use Forest Essentials Lightening and Brightening Tejasvi Emusion if you have it, especially for this massage purpose. Am currently using a sample size of it and its simply marvelous. Massage gently on the face using circular outward movements. You can follow any simple face massage tutorial on Youtube. This will ensure you get a natural glow similar to how you get while applying a highlighter.

Clay Face Mask to deep cleanse the pores and remove tan:

Just like double cleansing, use a double face mask. A deep cleansing clay masque followed up with a hydrating sheet mask. You can use any clay masks you have with you. My favorites are Fuschia Verve Face Mask with Kiwi & Asparagus and Banjaras’ Gold Face Pack. I would suggest the latter if you have tanned skin.

Toner to mattify skin:

Use an oil-controlling toner like Plum Green Tea Alcohol Free Toner to ensure your face remains oil and shine free for a long time in the party.

Sheet Mask for instant hydration and brightness:

For an instant party glow, try the Innisfree Vita C Skin Clinic Sheet Mask. It not only boosts your skin’s hydration but also adds a visible brightening and glow effect. My absolute favorite and essential to getting ready for party routine 🙂

Moisturize to get a dewy party look:

Invest in a good, deluxe moisturizer just for attending parties. You don’t want your skin to become greasy in a short while or too dehydrated also. You need to find one which gives the perfect dewy look. Iraya Saffron Elixir is my favorite among the lot.

Makeup (optional):

If you like wearing makeup, you can go for it. Or if you have a natural glowing skin (which you should have by now, following the above steps ????), you can skip it also. I just wear a tinted lip balm and am good to go. I love Island Kiss Puerto Berry Blush Organic Lip Balm as it gives a beautiful red tint which is long-lasting. It also has a nice glossy finish. But its not so moisturizing. So I apply Raw Home Essentials Raspberry Lip Butter beneath it ????.

Use an epilator:

If you find waxing painful and don’t have time to go to a parlour, a great option is using an epilator that will help you to be hair free for weeks. In addition, epilators make your hairs grow slower than shaving and it is very convenient. When your hair grows back, it becomes softer and lighter than before. Jewellery:

Earrings:

Wearing fashionable earrings is an absolute essential if we are attending a party with friends. If its a family get-together, go for more traditional ones.

Bangles:

Again, choose the kind of wrist wear depending on your occasion. If you are going to a party with friends, a wrist watch and lovely bracelet like cuban links chain bracelet might be perfect.
